The Teleperformance Assessment: What Each Part Tests and How to Prepare

The Teleperformance (TP) assessment is the online screen for TP call center jobs, such as customer service, tech support and sales representatives. TP's US postings ask you to type at least 25 words per minute, and candidates report a customer service test and a typing test, then a short virtual session with a recruiter. TP publishes no length or passing score, and says a recruiter reviews every result. OphyAI Customer Service helps with the scenario questions and the chat, email and spoken replies, live or in practice.

Teleperformance assessment at a glance

From TP's own US job postings, careers site and candidate privacy notice, checked November 6, 2026. TP does not publish its test format, so rows marked as candidate reports come from people who took it. Your invitation email wins if it says something different.

Teleperformance assessment question types

TP does not publish its test. These are the parts its own job postings and privacy notice point to, plus what candidates report.

Customer service scenarios

A customer situation and several ways to handle it. You pick the best one, the most and least effective, or rate each option. Candidates report a customer service test as a standard part.

Tip: TP's postings ask reps to stay calm, de-escalate and escalate when needed. The best answer usually does all three in that order.

Typing test

A speed and accuracy check. TP's US postings set the bar at 25 words per minute.

Tip: Accuracy counts as much as speed. Practice short timed passages and fix your error rate before you push for speed.

Language, reading and listening

TP's notice for its Hallo.ai assessment lists reading and listening tasks and spoken audio recordings. TP does not say which countries use it.

Tip: Use a headset in a quiet room, and speak at a normal pace. Rushing hurts clarity more than a pause does.

Role-play simulations

You talk to a simulated customer and your answers are recorded. The Hallo.ai notice lists role-play simulation recordings.

Tip: Use a simple order: greet, show you understand, fix or explain, then confirm the next step.

Written replies

Chat or email style answers to a customer. The Hallo.ai notice lists written responses among what it collects.

Tip: Keep it short, polite and specific. Name the next step and when it will happen.

Recruiter session

Candidates describe a short virtual session after the assessment, sometimes in a group breakout room, about pay, hours and the job, plus an internet speed test.

Tip: Know your schedule and your internet speed before you join. One candidate said the recruiter had already looked at their resume and assessment results.

Teleperformance assessment example questions and answers

Written by us in common call center formats, never copied from TP's test. Try each one before you read the answer.

Example 1 · Best response

On a billing call, a customer says they were charged twice this month and wants the money back now.

Pick the best response.

  1. A"Our system does not make mistakes, so one of the charges must be for something else."
  2. B"I'm sorry about that. Let me pull up your account and check both charges right now."
  3. C"You will need to call your bank about that."
  4. D"Refunds take time, so there is nothing I can do today."

Best: B.

B apologizes, owns the problem and starts checking the facts. A blames the customer, C sends them away, and D closes the door before you know what happened.

Example 2 · Most and least effective

A caller has been waiting 40 minutes for a refund update and starts yelling as soon as you answer.

Pick the most effective and the least effective response.

  1. ALet them finish, say you understand the long wait was frustrating, and check the refund status.
  2. BTell them you will hang up if they keep yelling.
  3. CPut them on hold right away to look at the account.
  4. DExplain that the wait times are not your fault.

Most effective: A. Least effective: B.

Letting an upset caller finish and naming their frustration usually calms the call. B threatens the customer at the start, which almost always makes it worse; C and D are weak but not hostile.

Example 3 · Rate each response

A customer asks to speak to a supervisor before you have even heard the problem.

Rate each response from very ineffective to very effective.

  1. ATransfer them right away without asking anything.
  2. BSay you can get a supervisor, and ask what happened so you can try to fix it first.
  3. CSay supervisors are busy and you are the only one who can help.
  4. DIgnore the request and read the standard greeting again.

A: somewhat ineffective. B: very effective. C: ineffective. D: very ineffective.

B respects the request and still gives you a chance to solve it on the first call. A skips that chance, C is not honest, and D ignores the customer.

Example 4 · Chat reply

Chat support. The customer writes: "I'm locked out of my account and I need to pay my bill today."

Pick the best reply.

  1. A"Please read our help page on account access."
  2. B"I can help with that. I'll send a reset link to the email on your account now. Once you're in, the bill is under Payments."
  3. C"Why did you get locked out?"

Best: B.

B fixes the problem in one message and answers the real goal, paying today. A sends the customer away, and C sounds like blame.

Example 5 · Email reply

A customer emails asking for a refund 10 days after the 30-day return window closed.

Pick the best reply.

  1. A"Your request is denied because it is outside the return window."
  2. B"Thanks for reaching out. Our return window is 30 days, so I can't issue a refund, but I can offer store credit or help with a repair. Which would you prefer?"
  3. C"I have refunded you in full."

Best: B.

B is honest about the policy and still offers a way forward. A is cold, and C breaks the policy, which a scenario test treats as a serious mistake.

Example 6 · Spoken role-play

In a recorded role-play, the customer says their internet has been down all morning and they work from home.

Pick the best way to start your spoken answer.

  1. A"Have you tried turning it off and on again?"
  2. B"I'm sorry, losing your connection on a work day is stressful. Let's get you back online. Can you tell me what the lights on your modem look like?"
  3. C"There might be an outage. I don't know."

Best: B.

B shows empathy, sets a goal and asks a useful first question, all in about ten seconds. A skips empathy, and C leaves the customer with nothing.

How the Teleperformance assessment is scored, and what happens next

TP publishes no passing score and no weights for the parts. The one hard number in its US postings is typing: at least 25 words per minute. For its Hallo.ai assessment, TP says the AI scores are one input among several, a TP recruiter reviews every result before any outcome is shared, and no one is advanced or rejected on the AI score alone.

Hearing back, from candidate reports: Glassdoor users report an average of about 6 days to get hired for customer service roles (1,743 reports, all countries) and about 9 days across all TP jobs. A Florida candidate in October 2026 said there was really no interview, just the assessment. Another, in September 2026, said an offer came after a virtual session with a recruiter and an internet speed test.

For US work-from-home roles, TP also requires proof of internet speed on a wired connection. Glassdoor candidates list background checks and drug tests among the hiring stages too.

How to prepare for the Teleperformance assessment

  1. Step 1

    Match the posting's setup first

For remote roles, TP asks for a wired Ethernet connection, at least 15 Mbps down and 10 up, no hotspot, satellite or VPN, and comfort with Windows. Fix your setup before you start the test.

  2. Step 2

Get your typing well above 25 WPM

TP's US postings ask for at least 25 words per minute. Practice short timed passages and keep errors low, since accuracy counts too.

  3. Step 3

    Practice customer scenarios and replies

Work through the examples above, then practice best-response, most-and-least and rate-each items on new scenarios. Write a few short chat and email replies with a clear next step.

  4. Step 4

    Prepare for the spoken parts

Use a headset in a quiet room. Practice a 30-second answer to an upset customer: empathy, a goal, one clear question.

Is the Teleperformance assessment proctored or recorded?

What TP records: its notice for the Hallo.ai assessment says it collects spoken audio recordings, written responses, reading and listening results and role-play recordings, plus your device, browser, IP address and timestamps. When a session is proctored it can also take screenshots, still images and audio or video recordings. TP says proctoring recordings are deleted at the end of the hiring process unless there is an integrity review, and other data from an unsuccessful application is kept for one year. TP does not say which countries or roles use this assessment.

Timing and retakes: TP does not publish a time limit, a retake rule or a waiting period. For work-from-home jobs, the setup itself is checked: a wired connection at the posted speeds, with no hotspot or VPN, and proof of your internet speed.

Teleperformance assessment answers, AI help and cheating

Are there Teleperformance assessment answers online?

No official ones. TP does not publish its questions or sample answers, and flashcards or PDFs online are not TP's test. Scenario questions change with small details, like whether the customer was double charged or just confused, so a memorized list does not carry over. OphyAI Customer Service reads the actual question on your screen and shows the best answer.

Can AI help on the Teleperformance assessment?

Yes, on the scenario and reply parts. OphyAI Customer Service handles best response, most and least effective and rate-each questions, writes chat and email replies you can paste, and gives short scripts for recorded answers. It works in Chrome or Edge on a computer and in the desktop app for Mac and Windows. It does not take the typing test and is not built for language proficiency sections.

Can Teleperformance tell if you use AI on the assessment?

TP's notice for its Hallo.ai assessment says proctored sessions can collect screenshots, still images and audio or video recordings, and a TP recruiter reviews every result. TP does not say which countries or roles use it. On OphyAI's side: it does not work inside lockdown or proctored browsers, it does not take typing-speed tests, and hiding a window from screen share does not hide it from a webcam, a person in the room, or proctoring software.

OphyAI Customer Service and the Teleperformance assessment

OphyAI Customer Service reads each question of an online customer service assessment on your screen and shows the best answer in a small window only you can see. Practice mode gives you realistic mock tests that explain why each option is better or worse.

Use OphyAI Customer Service on the real Teleperformance assessment, not just for practice. Share the test tab once in Chrome or Edge on a computer, or run it in the OphyAI desktop app for Mac and Windows. It reads each scenario question as it appears and shows the best response, the most and least effective picks, or a rating for every option in seconds. For chat and email items it writes a ready-to-paste reply with a Copy button, and for recorded answers it gives a short script to say. In the desktop app, Listen picks up customer video clips the test plays.

What it does not do: it does not take the typing test, and it is not built for language proficiency sections such as grammar, reading or pronunciation. Try the free 3-question sample, or a practice test of 5, 10 or 20 questions for 5 credits, to get used to the call center formats first.

Teleperformance assessment questions

TP does not publish a length or time limits. Block out quiet, uninterrupted time on a computer with a stable wired connection, since remote roles also check your internet setup.

TP does not publish one. Its US postings set one clear bar, typing at least 25 words per minute. For its AI language and skills assessment, TP says a recruiter reviews every score.

TP does not say. Candidate reports on Glassdoor average about 6 days to get hired for customer service roles and about 9 days across all TP jobs, counting every country.

TP does not publish a retake rule or a waiting period. Rules you may see online come from prep sites or single forum posts, not from TP.

TP's US remote postings ask for age 18 or older, a high school diploma or equivalent, 6 months of customer service experience, typing at 25 words per minute, Windows knowledge, and a wired internet connection of at least 15 Mbps down and 10 up with proof of speed. Satellite, hotspots, P2P and VPN are not allowed.

Partly, for some candidates. TP says it uses Hallo.ai, an AI-powered language and skills assessment, and that the AI scores go to a TP recruiter who reviews them before any decision. TP does not say which countries use it.

TP says its hiring managers only contact you from an @Teleperformance.com email address, it does not use Telegram, and it never sends checks or asks you to pay for equipment or a job.

Candidates describe a short virtual session with a recruiter, sometimes in a group breakout room, an internet speed test, then an offer and onboarding paperwork. Glassdoor candidates also list background checks and drug tests. These are candidate reports, not TP statements.
