Auto mode
Auto watches the screen and answers each new question once it holds still, including the one already on screen when you start. Loading, instructions and results screens read as "No question on screen" and are not counted.
Read the question. See the answer. Only you see the popup.
Aptitude Test mode in the OphyAI desktop app reads each multiple-choice question on your screen and shows the answer, with a one-line reason, in a small popup only you can see. The popup is excluded from screen sharing and screen recording by macOS and Windows, floats over a full-screen browser, and opens without taking focus from the test window.
Free download. Each test uses 15 credits and stays open for 2 hours. No resume needed.

Each term doubles the one before it.
Start OphyAI right before the test begins. The popup opens on top of it.
Have the assessment on screen in your browser or the employer's test app, ready for the first question.
In the desktop app, open Aptitude Test, add the company (the role is optional) and press Start test. The popup opens on top of your test.
With Auto on, answers appear as each question loads. With Auto off, press Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + A on a question. Each answer comes with a one-line reason.
Built for timed multiple-choice aptitude and cognitive ability tests. Each kind of question gets its own check before the answer is shown.
| Question type | How OphyAI handles it |
|---|---|
| Math and word problems | Computed exactly rather than estimated, then matched to the options shown. |
| Number and letter series | Finds the rule and checks it against every term before it answers. |
| Logic statements | True, False or Uncertain syllogisms, answered only from the statements given. |
| Verbal: analogies and fill in the blank | Matches the exact relationship or meaning, including two-blank sentences. |
| Attention to detail | "How many are exactly the same" checks, compared character by character. |
| Shape and pattern puzzles | Rotation, count, shading, size and which shape sits inside which. |
It ignores browser tabs, the timer and whichever option looks selected, so a pre-selected answer is not taken as a hint.
Auto watches the screen and answers each new question once it holds still, including the one already on screen when you start. Loading, instructions and results screens read as "No question on screen" and are not counted.
Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + A answers the question on screen right now, while your test keeps focus. A press while Auto is already answering the same screen is ignored, so nothing is thrown away.
The option to pick in large type, with a one-line reason so you can check it. If options are lettered, you get the letter. Earlier answers stay as small chips.
macOS and Windows leave the popup out of screen sharing and screen recording, and the main OphyAI window is protected too while a test runs.
The popup opens without taking focus from the test window and floats over a full-screen browser, so the test stays the active window.
No audio and no recording. The app looks at the screen your cursor is on only when you press the hotkey or when Auto sees a new question.
Every test is listed with its company and how many questions were answered. A test stays open for 2 hours, so you can pick it back up if you step away.
OphyAI reads any multiple-choice question it can see, so it is not tied to one platform. These guides cover the format, timing, scoring and proctoring of each test, from the test makers' own pages.
One account and one credit balance across the web, desktop and phone apps.

The popup is excluded from screen sharing and recording by the operating system (macOS window sharing set to none, Windows display affinity set to exclude from capture). A screen share or recording shows what is behind it, not the popup.
Hiding the popup from screen share does not hide it from a webcam, a person in the room, or proctoring and lockdown software that lists running apps or blocks screen capture.
It is built for multiple choice. Drag-and-drop, typed or open-answer formats are not what it was built for, so run it on a practice version of your test first. Read what each assessment platform can detect.
It is a tool that reads a multiple-choice aptitude question, works out the answer and shows it to you. OphyAI Aptitude Test does this from the desktop app: it reads the question on your screen and shows the answer and a one-line reason in a small popup that is hidden from screen sharing and screen recording.
Open your test, then start an aptitude test in the OphyAI desktop app with the company name (the role is optional). With Auto on, each question is answered as it loads. With Auto off, press Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + A on a question. The popup shows the option to pick and why, and keeps earlier answers as small chips.
It reads whatever multiple-choice question is on the screen your cursor is on, so it is not tied to one platform. It is designed for the timed multiple-choice questions used by tests like the CCAT, Wonderlic and PI Cognitive Assessment and by cognitive tests on platforms like TestGorilla and HireQuotient: math and word problems, number and letter series, logic statements, analogies, fill in the blank, attention to detail and shape puzzles. Drag-and-drop or open-answer formats are not what it was built for, so try a practice version first.
A screen share or screen recording cannot: macOS and Windows leave the popup out of capture. A webcam pointed at you, a person in the room, or proctoring and lockdown software that lists running apps or blocks screen capture are different, and OphyAI does not hide from those. No tool can honestly promise it is undetectable, and we do not.
No. The popup opens without taking focus, so the test window stays the active window, and it floats over a full-screen browser. With Auto on you do not need to click or press anything between questions.
The same way it works on a practice test. Start a test in the app, open your assessment, and OphyAI reads each multiple-choice question on your screen and shows the answer with a one-line reason in a popup that screen sharing and recording leave out. Some employers retest finalists in a proctored setting. See what each platform watches on our guide to whether online assessments can detect AI.
The desktop app is a free download. Each aptitude test uses 15 credits and stays open for 2 hours, the same as an Interview Copilot session. Pro is $29 a month with 300 credits; Premium is $59 a month with 500 credits.
No. An aptitude test only needs the company name. Adding the role is optional.
No. Nothing is recorded during a test. The app looks at the screen your cursor is on only when you press the hotkey or when Auto sees a new question, and it hears no audio in this mode.
