Quick Answer: What Are the Best Interview Sidekick Alternatives?

The best Interview Sidekick alternative depends on what you need: OphyAI for a lower monthly price plus practice, resume and job-search tools, LockedIn AI or Parakeet AI for more free minutes, Verve AI for a free monthly allowance, and Final Round AI or Sensei AI for other plan shapes. On September 29, 2026 Interview Sidekick’s only paid plan showed $80 a month to US visitors as a 50% promotion off $160 (code SAVE50), or $159 for a one-time 90-day pass, and its FAQ says it does not offer refunds. We make OphyAI, so read our rows with that in mind. You can try the live-interview side with OphyAI Interview Copilot and rehearse in OphyAI Interview Practice.

OphyAI also lists annual billing at 20% off ($278 a year for Pro, $566 for Premium). There has been no $9 OphyAI plan since July 2026, so older third-party articles showing a $9 Basic plan are out of date.

The Tools

1. OphyAI

Best for: one price covering live help, mock practice and job-search tools.

Interview Copilot gives real-time answer suggestions during Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet interviews with a live transcript. Pro is $29 a month with 300 credits, about 20 Standard Copilot sessions; Premium is $59 with 500 credits and includes Coding Interview. Where offered, a $9.99 Interview Pass covers one Standard session up to 2 hours. OphyAI also includes Interview Practice, Resume Builder, Application Assistant, Job Search and a free Application Tracker, none of which Interview Sidekick lists. Honest trade-off: OphyAI is credit-based rather than flat-rate unlimited. See the OphyAI pricing page.

2. LockedIn AI

Best for: heavy interview schedules and more free minutes.

Its Unlimited General plan showed $54.99 a month as 50% off a $109.98 standard price, and the Credits plan $69.99 for 400 Copilot minutes. Its help center describes unlimited free 5-minute sessions, up to 60 free minutes a day. Its refund policy (updated September 17, 2026) calls monthly and quarterly plans non-refundable once started. See our LockedIn AI review.

3. Parakeet AI

Best for: a generous free allowance and pay-per-use credits.

Parakeet lists an Unlimited plan at $149.90 a month, $599.90 a year or $78 a week, and credit packs from 1 credit for $38. Free access is 10 sessions of up to 10 minutes plus one free 10-minute mock. Its refund window is 7 days for unused purchases only. See our Parakeet AI review.

4. Verve AI

Best for: trying a free monthly plan before paying.

Its free plan lists three 15-minute Copilot sessions (per month per its own definition), 5 mock interviews and 14 AI tools, no card. Standard is $44.99 a month and Pro $84.99 month to month, with lower annual rates. Its own comparison pages quote different numbers than its pricing page, so use the pricing page. See our Verve AI review.

5. Final Round AI

Best for: candidates who want a large feature set and accept a higher price.

Monthly was $150, quarterly $250 and yearly $300 on the public plans page, and its homepage says there is no free trial for live sessions. Its plans endpoint returned different prices without a browser device ID, so prices may vary by visitor. It offers a 3-day (72-hour) refund. See our Final Round AI review and pricing explainer.

6. Sensei AI

Best for: annual buyers who want a low effective monthly price.

PRO was $89 a month, or $24 a month billed yearly (about $288 a year by our arithmetic). Free users get 15-minute sessions. Its homepage FAQ says it does not offer refunds, and its refund page describes limited exceptions. See our Sensei AI review.

Where Interview Sidekick Is the Better Choice

Be fair to the original. Interview Sidekick’s single paid plan covers unlimited real-time sessions and unlimited mock practice, includes Code Mode for coding problems, and lists more meeting apps than most rivals (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Webex, Lark/Feishu, Amazon Chime and Skype). It offers unlimited free 2-minute tests and a 90-day pass at about $53 a month that does not auto-renew. If you expect many interviews in a month and want flat pricing, it can cost less than credit-based plans. Read our full Interview Sidekick review.

How We Compared

We read each vendor’s pricing, FAQ and refund pages on September 29, 2026 and recorded the numbers with source URLs. Promotional prices are labelled as promotions. Vendor claims such as invisibility or user counts are not repeated as facts, and we did not test detection. Prices change often, so confirm on the vendor’s site.

How to Choose

  • You have one or two interviews: compare free access first, and consider a one-time option such as OphyAI’s $9.99 Interview Pass where offered.
  • You have many interviews in a month: compare flat-rate plans against OphyAI’s credits.
  • You want one tool for the whole search: OphyAI bundles practice, resume and applications.
  • Refunds matter: Interview Sidekick, Sensei AI and LockedIn AI are strict; read each policy before paying.
  • Your employer’s rules: check whether AI help is allowed; our tracker of employers that allow AI in interviews helps. For more comparisons see OphyAI alternatives and the pricing comparison.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best alternative to Interview Sidekick?

It depends on your priorities. OphyAI has a lower monthly price and adds practice, resume and job-search tools; LockedIn AI and Parakeet AI give more free minutes; Verve AI has a free monthly plan; Final Round AI and Sensei AI offer different billing shapes. Compare free access and refund terms before paying, since they differ widely.

How much does Interview Sidekick cost?

On September 29, 2026 its only paid plan showed $80 a month to US visitors, labelled 50% off a struck-through $160 with code SAVE50, and $159 for a one-time 90-day pass that does not auto-renew. Its llms.txt mentions lower prices from $30 a month in select regions, which did not apply to US visitors. Confirm the checkout price.

Does Interview Sidekick offer refunds?

Its FAQ says it does not offer refunds and that all sales are final, pointing buyers to its free 2-minute test sessions instead. Its terms were last updated in July 2024 and describe auto-renewing subscriptions, while its quarterly option is a one-time charge. Read the current terms before buying and cancel before renewal.

Is there a free alternative to Interview Sidekick?

Several tools have free tiers: Parakeet AI (10 sessions of up to 10 minutes), Verve AI (three 15-minute sessions in its free plan), LockedIn AI (5-minute sessions) and Sensei AI (15-minute sessions). OphyAI gives eligible new users one Standard Copilot session up to 15 minutes with no card. Free tiers are limited, so test with a mock first.

Which alternative has a one-time option instead of a subscription?

OphyAI offers a $9.99 Interview Pass where available for one Standard session up to 2 hours ($19.99 for 3), and passes cover Interview Copilot only. Parakeet AI sells credits from $38 each, and Interview Sidekick sells a one-time 90-day pass at $159. LockedIn AI lists a $999.50 lifetime plan on promotion.

Can I use an AI interview copilot in a real interview?

Only if the employer allows it. Some employers publish rules and others do not, and several candidate guides report bans without an official source. Ask your recruiter in writing and follow the rules of each round. Use mock practice and Copilot sessions beforehand to prepare, and never rely on any tool to guarantee an outcome.
