Quick Answer and Verdict: Is Sensei AI Worth It?

Sensei AI (also branded Sensei Copilot) is a real-time interview copilot with two plans, Free and PRO. On September 29, 2026, PRO cost $89 a month, or $24 a month billed yearly (about $288 a year), and it includes unlimited Copilot sessions, its Coding Copilot and a resume builder. The yearly price is very low for unlimited use; the monthly price is high, and its homepage and refund page disagree on refunds and on the free session length.

Who it fits: candidates with many interviews ahead who will commit to a year, and anyone who wants a free resume builder or unlimited short free sessions. Who it does not fit: anyone with one or two interviews who wants to pay for a single interview or a short stretch. For that group, OphyAI Interview Copilot starts at $29 a month, and you can rehearse the round first in OphyAI Interview Practice.

What Sensei AI Is

Sensei AI sells a browser-based interview copilot. Its homepage describes “Real-time assistance for live interviews”: it listens to the interviewer, detects questions automatically and generates answers “tailored to your job role, resume, and personal stories,” with tone and style settings. Its own August 2026 post says it is built mainly around interview assistance, not as a general-purpose AI platform.

Where it runsWeb app at app.senseicopilot.com; the latest Chrome is recommended
How it hears the callRun the meeting in the browser and share that tab with audio; a Chrome extension listener is an alternative, described as beta for paying members in a December 2024 post
Meeting apps namedZoom, WebEx, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Amazon Chime, and others
CodingCoding Copilot for paid subscribers; a Chrome extension captures the coding page; HackerRank, CoderPad, LeetCode and CodeSignal are named

Sensei AI Pricing (Checked September 29, 2026)

There is no standalone pricing page (/pricing returns 404). Pricing sits in the homepage pricing section, which shows two plans and a monthly or yearly toggle labelled “Save 73%”.

PlanPriceIncludes
Free$0, no credit card15-minute Copilot sessions, AI Resume Builder, AI Story Editor
PRO, monthly$89 a monthUnlimited Copilot Sessions, AI Resume Builder, AI Story Editor, Full Customization Suite, Industry Knowledge Base Add-Ons, Coding Copilot, AI Playground
PRO, yearly$24 a month billed annually (about $288 a year; the page does not print the total)Same as monthly PRO

Other pricing details:

  • No one-time option. The page lists only Free and PRO. There is no pass for a single interview.
  • Billing. Subscriptions renew automatically. You can cancel any time, and access stays active to the end of the billing cycle.
  • Not on the Free plan. Full Customization Suite, Industry Knowledge Base Add-Ons, Coding Copilot and AI Playground are shown greyed out.

What Sensei AI Does Well

  • Yearly price for unlimited use. At $24 a month billed annually, Sensei’s PRO plan includes unlimited Copilot sessions, which suits a heavy interview month. OphyAI is credit-based, so it has no unlimited tier.
  • Coding Copilot is included in PRO. OphyAI’s Coding Interview needs Premium ($59 a month or $566 a year).
  • Free resume builder. Sensei’s AI Resume Builder is on the Free plan. OphyAI’s Resume Builder costs 5 credits to create and 5 to download on paid plans.
  • Unlimited free sessions. Free users can start as many sessions as they like, each capped at 15 minutes, with no card. OphyAI gives eligible new users one first Standard Copilot session.
  • Meeting apps named. Its FAQ names WebEx and Amazon Chime, which OphyAI’s approved product facts do not list.

Limitations and Watch-Outs

  • Monthly PRO is $89. That is $30 more than OphyAI Premium at $59 and three times OphyAI Pro at $29. The yearly price is the real offer.
  • Its pages conflict on refunds. The homepage FAQ says “We do not offer refunds.” The refund page says monthly refunds are “generally not provided, except under special circumstances,” and that cancelling within 3 days of an annual renewal may earn a partial refund (one month is charged). It also says Sensei “reserves the right to make the final determination.” Get any refund promise in writing.
  • Its pages conflict on the free session. The homepage says 15 minutes; the refund page says “unlimited 10-minute sessions.” Test on the free plan to see which applies to you.
  • Practice is thin. By its own description there is no traditional mock-interview format, and the AI Playground is PRO only. Sensei’s site lists no job-search or application tools.
  • Browser setup. Its tutorials have you join the meeting in the browser and share a tab with audio, and its own post says the older method could show a sharing notification. Rehearse before the real call.
  • Vendor claims we do not repeat as fact. Its site advertises a “96%” interview success rate and says interviewers cannot notice the tool. We could not verify either. Whether any assistant is allowed depends on the employer, so read companies that allow AI in interviews and ask your recruiter.
  • Small public sample. Its Coding Copilot extension showed 2.8 out of 5 from 9 ratings on the Chrome Web Store (September 29, 2026), too few to conclude much.

To be fair, on a full year of heavy use Sensei’s unlimited $24 plan is hard to beat, and it gives you unlimited sessions where OphyAI uses credits. OphyAI has no $9 plan: the Basic plan was retired in July 2026, so articles showing a $9 Basic plan, Pro at $19 or Premium at $39 are out of date (current pricing).

How to Decide

  1. Count your interviews. One or two this month: a free OphyAI first session (eligible new users) plus a $9.99 pass (where offered) or Pro at $29 costs less than an $89 month. A long search where you will commit for a year: Sensei’s $24 yearly plan can win on price.
  2. Read the refund terms. Sensei’s two pages disagree, so test the free plan and ask support in writing before paying for a year.
  3. Match the tool to the round. Need unlimited live sessions and a coding assistant in one plan? Sensei PRO fits. Want mock interviews with feedback, plus application tools, in the same account? Choose OphyAI.
  4. Confirm the employer allows it and follow their rules. See is using an interview copilot ethical or cheating.
  5. Rehearse before the live call. Practice the hardest round in OphyAI Interview Practice, then use Copilot on the day. Start practicing →

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Sensei AI good?

Sensei AI is good for heavy users who commit to a year: unlimited Copilot sessions at $24 a month billed annually, a Coding Copilot included in PRO and a free resume builder. The trade-offs on September 29, 2026 were an $89 monthly price, thin practice tools and conflicting refund wording between its homepage and refund page.

How much does Sensei AI cost?

On September 29, 2026, Sensei AI had two plans. Free costs $0 with 15-minute Copilot sessions. PRO costs $89 a month, or $24 a month billed annually, which is about $288 a year by our math because the page does not print the total. Its yearly toggle is labelled “Save 73%” and no one-time option is shown.

Does Sensei AI have a free plan?

Yes. The Free plan costs $0 with no credit card and includes Copilot sessions, the AI Resume Builder and the AI Story Editor. The homepage says each session ends after 15 minutes and you can start another, while the refund page says 10-minute sessions. Coding Copilot and AI Playground are PRO only.

Can I get a refund from Sensei AI?

Possibly, but not reliably. The homepage FAQ says “We do not offer refunds.” The refund page says monthly refunds are generally not provided except under special circumstances, and that cancelling within 3 days of an annual renewal may earn a partial refund, with one month charged. Sensei decides every request, so ask support in writing.

Can interviewers tell if you use Sensei AI?

Sensei markets itself as unnoticeable to interviewers, but that is a vendor claim we could not verify and do not repeat as fact. No copilot controls what an employer allows. Some employers ban AI help in interviews, so check the employer’s own candidate page and ask your recruiter before using any tool.

What is a cheaper alternative to Sensei AI?

For a short search, OphyAI costs less month to month: Pro is $29 a month with 300 credits (about 20 Standard Copilot sessions of up to 2 hours), Premium is $59 with 500 credits, and a $9.99 Interview Pass covers one session where offered. Sensei’s yearly plan is cheaper for unlimited use. See the OphyAI alternatives hub.
