I am just starting and have no budget
Try: Grind 75 with LeetCode's free questions, plus Tech Interview Handbook
A plan, the problems and a guide to the rest of the process, all free.
LeetCode has the biggest problem bank here, with 4,101 problems on its list. But a big list is not always what you need. Here are 12 other sites like LeetCode, free and paid, with who each one is for, what you get, what it costs and where it falls short.
OphyAI makes one of the options on this list, OphyAI Coding Practice. We checked every other product on its own website on November 6, 2026 and left out anything we could not confirm there. The list is by goal, not a ranking.
Prices are in US dollars, as each site listed them on November 6, 2026. Several sites showed sale prices that day, marked "sale". Prices change often, so check before you buy.

Start from what is actually in your way, then pick the tool that fixes it. Most people use two: one for problems and one for practicing out loud.
Try: Grind 75 with LeetCode's free questions, plus Tech Interview Handbook
A plan, the problems and a guide to the rest of the process, all free.
Try: NeetCode, or AlgoExpert
NeetCode has a free video for every problem in its plans. AlgoExpert has 100+ hours of video on a smaller, fixed set.
Try: Educative's Grokking the Coding Interview Patterns
Text lessons built around 28 patterns, with quizzes and challenges.
Or start with our free patterns guideTry: OphyAI Coding Practice, the interviewing.io AI Interviewer, or Aced Practice
Each one makes you explain your thinking out loud: a voice AI interviewer with a scorecard, a free AI interviewer, or a peer.
Try: OphyAI Coding Practice, NeetCode Pro or CodeSignal Learn
OphyAI's coach reviews your code and your Big O. NeetCode Pro lists AI hints and debugging. CodeSignal has the Cosmo tutor.
Try: LeetCode Premium or NeetCode Pro
Both list company-tagged questions. OphyAI has "Often asked at" tags too, but they are our judgment, not company question lists.
Try: Practice on that platform
Try a few challenges in the same editor first, so the format feels familiar on the day.
HackerRank practice questionsTry: interviewing.io, or Aced Practice
interviewing.io uses senior engineers, from $179 a session. Aced Practice pairs you with a peer for free.
Try: OphyAI Coding Practice
25 Terraform tasks with the AWS provider 5.x, each checked against its written requirements.
Terraform interview questionsTry: Exercism, or Codewars
Exercism has 85 language tracks with free mentors. Codewars has short kata in 55+ languages.
Older lists still recommend some of these as they used to be.
tryexponent.com now sends you to aced.io, which calls itself "Aced (formerly Exponent)".
Pramp's site says that as of July 2024, all new Pramp sessions are hosted on Aced Practice, and that it is still free.
Hello Interview says it wound down mock interviews and mentorship on May 31, 2026. Premium, Guided Practice and its free content continue, and its Premium page lists practice interviews with an AI interviewer.
We read each product's own website on November 6, 2026: its pricing page, its main product page and, where it had one, its FAQ. We did not use review sites or forums for facts. Where a site did not show something, such as a price or a free tier, we say so instead of guessing. OphyAI makes Coding Practice, so read our entry with that in mind: it has far fewer problems than LeetCode and supports Python and JavaScript only. It is included on Pro ($29 a month). See how it works.
It depends on what you need. For a free study plan, use Grind 75 or the free NeetCode 150 list. For videos, NeetCode or AlgoExpert. For learning patterns by reading, Educative's Grokking course. For practice with another person, Aced Practice (formerly Pramp) or interviewing.io. For practicing out loud with an AI coach and voice mock rounds, OphyAI Coding Practice. If you want the biggest problem bank, LeetCode itself is still the largest on this list.
It can be if you have a target company and want its tagged questions, or if you will practice most days for a few months. LeetCode's Premium page lists company-specific questions, premium questions and solutions, timed Interview Simulations, a debugger and extra Ask Leet AI credits. If you are just starting, the free questions plus a free plan like Grind 75 will keep you busy for weeks. On November 6, 2026, Premium was $35 a month or $159 a year.
On November 6, 2026, LeetCode's subscribe page showed $35 billed monthly (marked down from $39) or $159 billed yearly (marked down from $299), which it showed as $13.25 a month. Prices are in US dollars and can change.
LeetCode's subscribe page did not list a free trial or a student discount on November 6, 2026. Be careful with sites that promise free Premium accounts. The free route is LeetCode's free questions with a free plan such as Grind 75, whose first 75 questions include no premium ones, plus free tools like the NeetCode 150 videos and the interviewing.io AI Interviewer.
Grind 75 and Tech Interview Handbook are free. NeetCode has free study plans with a video for every problem. HackerRank has a free Interview Preparation Kit. CodeSignal Learn is free to start. Exercism is free, with free human mentoring. interviewing.io has a free AI Interviewer. Aced's free Basic plan includes 5 peer mocks a month. OphyAI Coding Practice has 4 free sample problems.
For general coding interview practice, LeetCode, NeetCode, CodeSignal Learn and OphyAI Coding Practice all work. If you have a HackerRank test coming up, it still makes sense to try a few challenges on HackerRank itself, so the editor and the format feel familiar on the day.
Pramp's site says that as of July 2024, all new Pramp sessions are hosted on Aced Practice, and that it is still free. Aced is the new name of Exponent: tryexponent.com now sends you to aced.io. On November 6, 2026, Aced's free Basic plan listed 5 peer mocks a month, and Pro listed unlimited peer mocks.
No. Hello Interview says it wound down its mock interview and mentorship programs on May 31, 2026. It says everything else, including Premium, Guided Practice and its free content and videos, continues as normal. Its Premium page lists practice interviews with an AI interviewer.
LeetCode is much bigger: its problem list showed 4,101 problems, against OphyAI's 153 algorithm problems plus 25 Terraform tasks. OphyAI supports Python and JavaScript only. OphyAI's strengths are an AI coach that checks your plan and reviews your code without giving away the answer, voice mock rounds with a scorecard (20 credits a round), and the Terraform track. It is included on Pro ($29 a month) and Premium ($59 a month), and 4 problems are free. OphyAI is not tied to LeetCode, and every OphyAI problem is written in its own words.
Of the options on this page, LeetCode had the most: 4,101 on its problem list on November 6, 2026. Exercism lists over 8,763 exercises, but they are spread across 85 languages and are built for learning a language rather than for interviews. More problems is not always better: most study plans, such as Grind 75, pick 75 to 169 questions.
OphyAI Coding Practice: 153 algorithm problems by pattern, an AI coach, voice mock rounds and a Terraform track. 4 problems are free.
