Quick Answer and Verdict: Is Stealth Interview AI Worth It?

Stealth Interview (marketed as Stealth Interview AI) is a Mac and Windows desktop app built only for live technical interviews: it reads the coding problem from a screenshot and returns a solution with an explanation and time and space complexity. Plans start at $49 a month with unlimited usage, but there is no free plan and all sales are final (checked September 29, 2026).

Who it fits: engineers and data candidates who want unlimited coding-round help for months. Who it does not fit: anyone with behavioral rounds, a non-English interview, or who wants to test before paying. For that group, OphyAI Interview Copilot covers live help on the web or in Mac and Windows desktop apps, Interview Practice covers mock rounds, and Premium adds Coding Interview.

What Stealth Interview AI Is

Stealth Interview is sold by Nothing But Software, LLC, and its site lists “Stealth Interview AI” as an alternate name. Its meta description calls it “A desktop AI copilot for live technical interviews,” and its FAQ says “Currently we’re all in on technical interviews.”

Where Stealth Interview Is a Better Fit

  • Unlimited use for a flat price. All three plans list “Unlimited usage” and the vendor says there is “no session clock.” OphyAI uses credits: a Standard or Technical Copilot session is 15 credits, and Coding Interview is 15 credits per session.
  • Cheaper over months. Premium is $150 for 6 months (about $25 a month by our math) and Hunter is $250 a year. Both cost less than OphyAI Pro on annual billing ($278 a year) and far less than OphyAI Premium ($566 a year), which is the OphyAI plan that includes Coding Interview. Even month to month, Starter at $49 is $10 less than OphyAI Premium at $59 for coding help.
  • Depth on the coding round. It is built for one job: a solution with step-by-step explanation and complexity, Mermaid diagrams for system design, and a choice of 5 AI models on the upper plans. Neither product publishes an accuracy benchmark.
  • Webex. It names Webex alongside Zoom, Meet and Teams.

Where OphyAI Is a Better Fit

  • Test before you pay. Stealth Interview lists no free plan or trial, and its own pages say “Our published plans start at $49 a month.” Eligible new OphyAI users get a first Standard Copilot session free for up to 15 minutes with no card, plus one free 15-minute Interview Practice session.
  • One interview, smaller bill. Where offered, OphyAI’s $9.99 Interview Pass covers one Standard Copilot session up to 2 hours (passes cover Interview Copilot only, not Coding Interview). Stealth Interview’s shortest option is $49 for a month.
  • Behavioral and non-technical rounds. Most loops include a recruiter screen and a behavioral round. OphyAI Interview Copilot gives real-time answer suggestions for the live question in 35 languages, and Interview Practice runs behavioral mocks; Stealth Interview is technical and English only.
  • Preparation, not just live help. Interview Practice, Resume Builder, Application Assistant and Job Search sit on the same credit balance. Pro’s 300 credits cover about 20 Standard Copilot sessions.
  • No install needed when you cannot install. Stealth Interview itself notes “an installed application is not an option” on a locked-down company laptop. OphyAI’s web app at app.ophyai.com runs with nothing to install, and the desktop app is there when you can install.

On screen sharing: Stealth Interview markets itself as impossible to detect and “Invisible to screen sharing.” Those are vendor claims we have not tested, and its own site says that in HackerRank’s Desktop App Mode “no overlay tool is an appropriate answer, ours included.” In OphyAI’s desktop app, the operating system excludes the live answer window from screen sharing and screen recording, so Zoom, Meet and Teams do not show it. That does not hide it from a camera pointed at your screen, a person in the room, or proctoring software that inspects running apps; in the web app, what shows depends on your setup. Check the employer’s rules first: see companies that allow AI in interviews and whether Zoom, Teams and Meet can see overlay apps.

Other Stealth Interview pricing details:

  • No refunds. Its Terms (last updated April 16, 2025) say “All sales, including renewals, are final and non-refundable,” with exceptional cases reviewed at management’s sole discretion.
  • Renewal is described two ways. The Terms say subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date; a vendor comparison page says plans are “bought outright for a fixed term.” Cancel through “Manage subscription” in your account either way.
  • Hunter extras. A “2-hour support window” (not explained on its site), “Unlimited Premium AI model usage” and “Ultra-accelerated AI solutions.” No latency figure is published, and no cap on Premium’s model use is published either.
  • No published OS minimums or programming language list.

OphyAI has no $9 plan: the Basic plan was retired in July 2026, so pages showing Basic at $9, Pro at $19 or Premium at $39 are out of date (current pricing). For every major copilot side by side, see our AI interview copilot pricing comparison.

How to Decide

  1. List your rounds. If every remaining round is coding or system design in English, Stealth Interview is built for exactly that. If a recruiter screen or behavioral round is coming, OphyAI covers it and Stealth Interview does not.
  2. Count the months. Searching for six months or a year of coding rounds favors Stealth Interview’s $150 or $250 terms. One or two interviews favors OphyAI’s free session or $9.99 pass.
  3. Check your laptop. Stealth Interview needs an install on Mac or Windows. OphyAI runs on the web or in its desktop apps; compare more installed options in our best desktop AI interview assistants roundup.
  4. Follow the employer’s rules. Read is using an interview copilot ethical or cheating and ask the recruiter when unsure.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Stealth Interview AI legit?

Yes, it is a real paid product. Its Terms name Nothing But Software, LLC as the trademark holder, with support at support@stealthinterview.ai, Texas governing law and binding arbitration. Public reviews are scarce: on September 29, 2026, Trustpilot showed 4.0 from 3 reviews, G2 showed 0 reviews and Product Hunt showed 0 reviews.

How much does Stealth Interview AI cost?

On September 29, 2026, its pricing page listed three plans: Starter at $49 a month, Premium at $150 for 6 months (about $25 a month) and Hunter at $250 a year (about $20.83 a month). All three include unlimited usage. Premium and Hunter add more AI models and faster solutions; Hunter adds a 2-hour support window.

Does Stealth Interview AI have a free trial?

No free plan or trial is listed on its pricing page. Its Terms suggest downloading the desktop app to check compatibility before buying, but its download buttons lead to sign-up and no free use of the AI features is described. Its own pages say “Our published plans start at $49 a month.”

Can I get a refund from Stealth Interview AI?

Usually not. Its Terms of Service, last updated April 16, 2025, say “All sales, including renewals, are final and non-refundable.” Management may review exceptional cases at its sole discretion, with no guarantee. Confirm the app runs on your machine before paying, and cancel through “Manage subscription” before any renewal date.

Does Stealth Interview AI help with behavioral interviews?

Not really. Its FAQ says “Currently we’re all in on technical interviews,” and its comparison page says it has “nothing” for a behavioral question such as a conflict with a teammate. It transcribes the interviewer, but the product is built around coding problems. For behavioral rounds, OphyAI Interview Copilot gives real-time answer suggestions on Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet, and Interview Practice runs behavioral mock interviews with per-answer feedback.

Can Stealth Interview AI be detected?

Its homepage claims it cannot be and calls the app “Invisible to screen sharing,” but that is vendor marketing we have not tested. Its own site says no overlay tool, including its own, is appropriate in HackerRank’s Desktop App Mode. No app can hide from a camera or a person in the room, so check the employer’s rules first; see our guide on whether interviewers can detect an AI copilot.

What is the best Stealth Interview AI alternative?

If you want live help across every round plus practice and resume tools, OphyAI is a strong alternative: eligible new users can try a first Copilot session free, Pro is $29 a month, and Premium at $59 adds Coding Interview. If you only need unlimited coding help for many months, Stealth Interview’s longer plans cost less. See the Stealth Interview AI alternative page.
