AIApply Review 2026: $19 Interview Buddy, $29 Premium, Auto-Apply
Is AIApply worth it? A fair review: Interview Buddy at $19 a month, Premium at $29, Auto-Apply tiers from $49 to $499, refund terms, and who it fits best.
Last updated: October 2026
Quick Answer and Verdict: Is AIApply Worth It?
AIApply is a legitimate UK job-search platform whose real strength is auto-apply: it can send up to 100 tailored applications a day for you, which OphyAI does not do. Its live interview helper, Interview Buddy, is a separate $19 a month subscription, and resume, cover letter and mock interview tools sit in a $29 a month Premium plan, so both list at $48 a month (checked September 29, 2026).
Who it fits: candidates who want applications submitted for them at volume. Who it does not fit: candidates who mainly need interview help plus resume tools on one bill, or who want to test live help free first. For that group, OphyAI Interview Copilot and Interview Practice cover live help, practice and resumes from one Pro plan.

Where AIApply Is a Better Fit
- You want applications sent for you. Auto-Apply is AIApply’s core: up to 100 tailored applications a day per its blog, with a Review mode if you want to approve each one. OphyAI does not auto-apply.
- Live help alone costs less. Interview Buddy is $19 a month or $99 a year, below OphyAI Pro at $29. If live help is all you need, that is a real saving.
- Unlimited practice, per its page. AIApply’s mock interview page calls the tool free and says “you can practice as many times as you want.” OphyAI’s free plan covers one Interview Practice session capped at 15 minutes.
- Credits that do not expire. Its Auto-Apply page says application credits “never expire” (the App Store listing describes a monthly subscription instead, so check which you are buying).
- A solid Trustpilot score. 4.2 from 1,844 reviews (third-party); its newer iPhone app showed 2.6 from 28 ratings.
- Student pricing. 40% off premium features with a student email.
Where OphyAI Is a Better Fit
- One plan for the whole loop. Pro at $29 covers Interview Copilot, Interview Practice, Resume Builder, Application Assistant and Job Search on one 300-credit balance (about 20 Standard Copilot sessions). On AIApply, Premium plus Interview Buddy lists at $48 a month.
- Try live help free first. Eligible new users get a first Copilot session up to 15 minutes with no card (free trial).
- Coding and system design rounds. Premium’s Coding Interview workflow; AIApply publishes no coding-platform support.
- 35 live-help languages, stated. AIApply does not publish an Interview Buddy language count.
- More ways to run it. Web with no install, Mac and Windows desktop apps, and iPhone and Android apps for practice, resumes and job search.
On screen sharing: in OphyAI’s desktop app, the operating system excludes the live answer window from screen shares and recordings, but that does not hide it from a camera pointed at your screen, a person in the room, or proctoring software that inspects running apps. AIApply says Interview Buddy “can stay hidden during screen sharing”; we have not tested that. Check the employer’s rules first: see companies that allow AI in interviews and whether Zoom, Teams and Meet can see overlay apps.
Pricing Compared (Checked September 29, 2026)
AIApply has no public pricing page (/pricing redirects to the homepage). The figures below come from AIApply’s own blog post of September 10, 2026, which matches its App Store in-app purchases and the price data on its product pages.
| Plan | AIApply | OphyAI |
|---|---|---|
| Live help only | Interview Buddy $19 a month or $99 a year | Included in Pro or Premium; $9.99 Interview Pass for one session up to 2 hours, where offered |
| Job-search bundle | Premium $29 a month or $144 a year (about $12 a month) | Pro $29 a month (300 credits); $278 a year |
| Both together | $48 a month ($19 + $29) | Pro $29 a month |
| Top tier | Auto-Apply on iPhone: Starter $49 to Ultra $499 | Premium $59 a month (500 credits); $566 a year |
| Free | Limited free tier: cover letters, resume scanner, job board | First Copilot session up to 15 minutes (eligible new users); one 15-minute practice session |
Other AIApply pricing details:
- Auto-Apply is extra. On the web it is sold in packs of 100 to 2,000 applications, price shown only at checkout. The App Store lists Starter $49, Pro $99, Pro+ $199, Elite $199, Power $299 and Ultra $499, without application counts. Per-application tailoring is “a further add-on subscription.”
- Its pages disagree on the bundle. Older comparison pages (February 2026) describe a $29 plan that includes Interview Buddy; newer pages list it as a separate $19 product.
- Free trial for live help is unclear. Its blog says Auto-Apply and Interview Buddy “both require a paid plan with no free trial”, but the Interview Buddy page’s markup says “Free to try, no credit card required.” Check the signup screen.
- Refunds are narrow. Its terms make fees non-refundable except for a verified technical issue or an accidental purchase reported within 30 minutes with no meaningful use. Renewals are generally not refundable, and Auto-Apply is non-refundable once applications go out. UK buyers waive the 14-day cooling-off right. Subscriptions renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the term ends.
OphyAI has no $9 plan: the Basic plan was retired in July 2026, so pages showing Basic at $9, Pro at $19 or Premium at $39 are out of date (current pricing). For every major copilot side by side, see our AI interview copilot pricing comparison.
How to Decide
- Decide whether you want auto-apply. If you want hundreds of applications submitted for you, AIApply is built for that and OphyAI is not.
- Price what you will actually use. Live help only: Interview Buddy at $19 is cheaper. Live help plus resumes, cover letters and practice: OphyAI Pro at $29 against $48 for AIApply’s two subscriptions.
- Check your rounds. Coding or system design rounds, or a live interview in a language other than English, point to OphyAI, since AIApply publishes neither coding support nor a language count.
- Test before paying. OphyAI’s first Copilot session is free for eligible new users; on AIApply, confirm on the signup screen whether Interview Buddy has a trial.
- Follow the employer’s rules. Read is using an interview copilot ethical or cheating and ask the recruiter when unsure.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is AIApply legit?
Yes. AIApply is run by AIApply Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales and based in Leicester, with published terms of service and a privacy policy updated in September 2026. On September 29, 2026, Trustpilot (third-party) showed 4.2 from 1,844 reviews, while its newer iPhone app showed 2.6 from 28 ratings on the US App Store.
How much does AIApply cost?
On September 29, 2026, AIApply’s own blog listed Premium at $29 a month or $144 a year and Interview Buddy, its live interview helper, as a separate subscription at $19 a month or $99 a year. Auto-Apply is sold separately: the App Store lists tiers from $49 to $499, and the web shows the price at checkout. Students get 40% off premium features.
Does AIApply have a free trial?
AIApply offers a limited free tier instead of a timed trial, covering cover letters, the resume scanner and the job board, and its mock interview page calls that tool free. For Interview Buddy its pages disagree (“no free trial” on its blog, “Free to try” in page markup), so check the signup screen.
Does AIApply auto-apply to jobs?
Yes, it is AIApply’s core product. Per its blog, Auto-Apply can submit up to 100 tailored applications a day, with Review, Hybrid (applies to 75%+ matches) and Auto modes. Its terms warn that employers may use bot detection, promise no outcome, and make Auto-Apply non-refundable once applications go out.
Can I get a refund from AIApply?
Rarely. AIApply’s terms say fees are non-refundable except where law or its service terms say otherwise. Support may consider a refund for a reproducible, verified technical issue, or an accidental purchase reported within 30 minutes with no meaningful use. Renewals are generally not refundable; cancel at least 24 hours before renewal.
Is AIApply’s Interview Buddy better than OphyAI Interview Copilot?
It depends on what you need. Interview Buddy is cheaper alone at $19 a month and runs as a Mac or Windows app. OphyAI Pro at $29 adds Interview Practice, Resume Builder and application tools, a free first session for eligible new users, 35 stated languages and a Premium coding workflow.
What is the best AIApply alternative?
For live interview help plus practice and resume tools on one plan, OphyAI is a strong alternative: Pro is $29 a month with 300 credits, about 20 Standard Copilot sessions, and eligible new users can try a first session free. If auto-apply is what you want, OphyAI does not offer it. See our AIApply alternative page and the best AI job search tools in 2026.
