It depends on what you need. For live interview help alone, AIApply Interview Buddy ($19 a month) costs less than OphyAI Pro ($29 a month). For live help plus resume, cover letter, and mock interview tools, AIApply lists Premium ($29) and Interview Buddy ($19) separately, $48 a month together, while OphyAI Pro covers Interview Copilot, Interview Practice, Resume Builder, Application Assistant, and Job Search for $29 on 300 credits. AIApply Auto-Apply costs extra, and OphyAI does not offer auto-apply. Interview Buddy is a desktop app: AIApply's signup flow offers Mac or Windows, and it works with Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and other browser-based platforms. For Zoom, AIApply recommends joining in Chrome instead of the Zoom desktop app. Its iPhone app, AIApply: AI Job Search, launched in August 2026 for auto-apply and showed 2.6 out of 5 from 28 ratings on the US App Store on September 29, 2026. An Android app is not published on its site. OphyAI runs in the browser with no install, has a desktop app for Mac and Windows for live interviews, and has iPhone and Android apps for practice, resumes and job search.
AIApply does not publish a language count for Interview Buddy on its site (checked September 29, 2026). Its website is available in 13 language versions, and its Resume Translator covers six European languages. OphyAI Interview Copilot supports 35 languages. Test the exact language and accent you need before an interview.
AIApply says Interview Buddy "can stay hidden during screen sharing." That is a vendor claim, not something this page has tested. Its terms also say employers and platforms may use AI or bot detection and that it does not guarantee any outcome, and its FAQ tells users to follow the rules of the interview process. Its privacy policy says interview audio goes to a speech-to-text provider, raw audio is not kept after transcription, and transcripts stay in your account until you delete them. For OphyAI, the desktop app for Mac and Windows asks the operating system to exclude its answer window from screen sharing and recording, so Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams do not show it even on a full-screen share. In the browser, what others see of Whisper Mode depends on your sharing, recording, browser, and device setup. Neither hides anything from a camera pointed at your screen, someone in the room, or proctoring software that inspects running apps.
AIApply's terms (version 2.2, updated September 7, 2026) say fees are non-refundable except where required by law or its service terms. You must contact support first, and a refund may be granted for a reproducible, verified technical issue or an accidental purchase reported within 30 minutes with no meaningful use. Renewed subscriptions are generally not refunded, and Auto-Apply is non-refundable once applications have been submitted. Its homepage FAQ adds that refund requests are handled case by case.
