Quick Answer and Verdict: Verve AI vs Final Round AI

Verve AI is cheaper month to month and has a real free plan, while Final Round AI has no session quota on any paid plan and the longer language list. On September 29, 2026, Verve’s cheapest paid plan was Standard at $44.99 a month (five 60-minute sessions) and Final Round AI’s Monthly Plan was $150 a month. Both sell yearly plans at much lower monthly averages, so the right pick depends on how many interviews you have and how long you will subscribe.

Two cautions. Verve’s pages disagree with each other on languages (38 in the help center, 55+ in marketing), so we repeat neither as settled. Final Round AI’s Trustpilot profile is marked as a paid Trustpilot subscription and shows 27% one-star reviews; its homepage ratings are the vendor’s own claims, so we do not use them.

Pricing Compared

Prices are from each vendor’s pricing pages, checked September 29, 2026. Final Round AI’s plans endpoint returned a different set for a request without a browser device ID (Monthly $149, Quarterly $299, Yearly $500), so your own price may differ. Totals marked “our arithmetic” are not shown on the vendor page.

What the plans include: Verve Standard gives five 60-minute Copilot sessions a month, unlimited mocks, 14 AI tools and Stealth Mode. Pro gives unlimited 90-minute sessions, 20 interview domains, custom prompts and exported transcripts. Every Final Round AI paid plan lists unlimited Interview Copilot, Stealth Mode, an advanced AI interview report, a question bank of 10,000+ questions and standard AI models; Premium MAX adds premium AI models and early access.

In real money (our arithmetic): one month costs $44.99 on Verve Standard against $150 on Final Round AI, a gap of $105.01. On yearly billing the gap closes: $203.88 against $300. Verve’s own comparison pages quote a $59.50 monthly price for unlimited use, while its pricing page lists Pro at $84.99 month to month, so use the pricing page.

Refunds: Verve’s refund page (last updated June 16, 2024) allows a request while the subscription is active or within 5 business days after deactivation, but only for a verifiable technical issue on its side or no use at all, and yearly plans are a full-year commitment. Final Round AI’s policy (updated July 16, 2026) gives 72 hours, once per customer, and blocks a refund after two or more sessions over 30 minutes; Stripe fees are deducted, and monthly plans are final after 72 hours. Its plan page FAQ still says monthly plans are non-refundable, so read both before paying.

Where Verve AI Is the Better Choice

Trying it first. Three free 15-minute Copilot sessions and 5 mocks with no card is far more hands-on time than Final Round AI’s free plan, which has no live trial and puts practice behind a paywall.

A lower price for most plan shapes. Verve is cheaper month to month ($44.99 against $150) and on quarterly billing ($39.99 a month against $83.33). Yearly, Verve Standard at $203.88 is also below Final Round AI’s $300, though it caps you at five 60-minute sessions a month.

Choice of AI model. Verve lets you pick from a list of 26 models, some Pro only, and publishes a guide for matching a model to an interview type.

Watch-outs: Standard’s five sessions a month is a hard cap, the coding domain needs Pro ($84.99 month to month), Stealth Mode exists only in the desktop app and Verve’s own help page says it may not work when sharing the entire screen from a browser-based meeting. See our Verve AI review and Verve AI alternatives.

Where Final Round AI Is the Better Choice

No session count. Every paid plan is unlimited, so someone with many interviews in a week is not rationed. Verve’s unlimited tier is Pro at $84.99 a month.

A wider language and platform list. 143 locales across 76 languages and a long list of meeting and assessment platforms (including HireVue, CodeSignal and Mercor) beat Verve’s 38 help-center languages, though neither publishes accuracy by language.

One app for the whole loop. Live help, practice, a written debrief after each session and screen help sit together, and its question bank lists 10,000+ questions.

Watch-outs: no free live trial, $150 for a single month, one live session at a time, sessions are recorded automatically with no on or off setting, auto-capture reads your screen by default, and its Trustpilot score was 2.9. See our Final Round AI review and best Final Round AI alternatives.

A Third Option: OphyAI

We make OphyAI, so weigh this section with that in mind. OphyAI’s Interview Copilot shows a live transcript and streamed answer suggestions on Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet in 35 languages. It runs on the web with nothing to install or in the Mac and Windows desktop apps, and the iPhone and Android apps cover practice and job-search tools. The same account includes Interview Practice (voice or text mock interviews with per-answer feedback), a Resume Builder, Application Assistant and a free Application Tracker.

  • Free: a first Standard Interview Copilot session up to 15 minutes for eligible new users, no card.
  • Paid: Pro $29 a month (300 credits, about 20 Standard Copilot sessions). Premium $59 a month (500 credits) adds Coding Interview. Annual billing is 20% off: Pro $278 a year, Premium $566 a year.
  • One interview: a $9.99 Interview Pass covers one Standard Copilot session up to 2 hours ($19.99 for 3), where offered.
  • Old numbers: OphyAI has no $9 plan. The Basic plan was retired in July 2026, and some third-party articles still show the old $9, $19 and $39 prices.

Where it falls short: Verve’s free plan has more sessions, Final Round AI lists more languages and platforms, and credits cap OphyAI Pro at about 20 Standard sessions a month where Final Round AI’s paid plans are not metered. See the best AI interview copilots. Start practicing →

How to Decide

  1. Count your interviews this month. Two or three interviews fit Verve Standard’s five sessions at $44.99. A dozen in a few weeks points to an unlimited plan, and one or two total points to a single-interview pass.
  2. Check your prepay appetite. Both vendors’ cheapest per-month prices are yearly and billed upfront, and refunds are narrow, so test first.
  3. Test your language and platform. Use Verve’s free sessions and, for Final Round AI, read the platform list for your interview tool. OphyAI’s free 15-minute session takes no card either.
  4. Read the refund rule. Verve limits refunds to technical faults or no use; Final Round AI gives 72 hours once, with a usage condition.
  5. Check the employer’s rules. Some employers ban outside tools in live interviews. Ask your recruiter, see our tracker of companies that allow AI in interviews, and compare more tools in the alternatives hub and our pricing comparison.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which is better, Verve AI or Final Round AI?

It depends on volume and budget. Verve AI had the lower monthly price on September 29, 2026 ($44.99 against $150) and a free plan with three 15-minute Copilot sessions. Final Round AI has no session quota on paid plans and a longer language list. Neither is clearly better for every candidate.

Is Verve AI cheaper than Final Round AI?

Yes at every billing length we checked. Verve Standard was $44.99 monthly, $39.99 a month quarterly and $16.99 a month yearly. Final Round AI was $150 monthly, $250 a quarter and $300 a year. Verve’s cheaper plans cap you at five 60-minute Copilot sessions a month, while Final Round AI’s plans are not metered.

Do Verve AI and Final Round AI have free plans?

Verve AI does: $0 for three 15-minute Interview Copilot sessions, 5 AI mock interviews and 14 AI tools, with no credit card. Final Round AI’s free plan covers goals, job description parsing and a prep checklist, but it says there is no free trial for live sessions and practice interviews need a paid plan.

Can I get a refund from Verve AI or Final Round AI?

Narrowly. Verve refunds a verifiable technical issue on its side or a subscription with no use, requested while active or within 5 business days after deactivation. Final Round AI gives 72 hours once per customer, but two or more sessions over 30 minutes block it, and Stripe fees are deducted. Test free first.

Which has more languages?

Final Round AI lists 143 locales across 76 languages. Verve’s help center lists 38 interview languages for transcription and responses, while its marketing says 55+, so its own pages disagree. Neither publishes accuracy by language, so test your language and accent in a free session before paying.

Do both work on Zoom, Teams and Google Meet?

Yes, both name Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams, and both list Webex. Final Round AI also names coding and assessment platforms such as CoderPad, HackerRank, CodeSignal and HireVue. Neither describes an official integration with each meeting app, so run a test call on your own platform.
