Quick Answer and Verdict: Sensei AI vs Final Round AI
Sensei AI is cheaper at every billing length and has a free tier you can reuse, while Final Round AI has the longer language list, a wider list of supported platforms and a built-in mock interview mode. On September 29, 2026, Sensei AI’s PRO plan was $89 a month or $24 a month billed yearly, and Final Round AI’s Monthly Plan was $150 a month or $300 once a year. Both advertise unlimited live sessions on their paid plans, so the choice comes down to price, free testing, practice and platform fit.

Disclosure: OphyAI publishes this page and makes OphyAI, a competing interview copilot covered briefly below. Every Sensei AI and Final Round AI fact comes from the vendors’ own pages, checked September 29, 2026. Prices change and can differ by visitor, so check before you buy.
Side by Side
| Feature | Sensei AI | Final Round AI |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | Real-time copilot that listens to the interviewer and drafts answers from your resume, job and stories | Desktop copilot with live interview, practice interview, debrief, screen help and Stealth Mode |
| Free plan | $0: 15-minute Copilot sessions, AI Resume Builder, AI Story Editor | Goals, job description parsing and a prep checklist; no free live trial |
| Session limits | PRO says “Unlimited Copilot Sessions”; no per-session maximum published | Not metered on paid plans; one live session at a time |
| Mock interviews | No traditional mock format (its own August 2026 wording); AI Playground text chat on PRO | 8 practice scenarios with an AI interviewer, paid plans |
| Coding help | Coding Copilot on PRO, through a Chrome extension | Coding interview support listing 20 programming languages |
| Spoken languages | 30+ | 143 locales across 76 languages |
| Meeting apps | Zoom, WebEx, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Amazon Chime and others | Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex, CoderPad, HackerRank, CodeSignal, HireVue and more |
| How you run it | Web app (latest Chrome recommended); no desktop or mobile app listed on its site | Desktop app for macOS 11+ (14.4+ to capture meeting audio) and Windows 10+ |
| Third-party reviews | Coding Copilot extension 2.8 from 9 ratings | Trustpilot 2.9 from 277 reviews |
Two cautions. Sensei’s pages disagree with each other on free sessions (15 minutes on the homepage, 10 on the refund page) and on refunds (see below), so we quote both. Final Round AI’s Trustpilot profile is marked as a paid Trustpilot subscription and shows 27% one-star reviews; its own user counts and ratings are vendor claims, so we do not use them. The two review numbers above come from different sites and sample sizes and are not comparable.
Pricing Compared
Prices are from each vendor’s pricing pages, checked September 29, 2026. Final Round AI’s plans endpoint returned a different set for a request without a browser device ID (Monthly $149, Quarterly $299, Yearly $500), so your own price may differ. Sensei has no standalone pricing page; its plans sit in the homepage pricing section. Totals marked “our arithmetic” are not shown on the vendor page.
| Plan shape | Sensei AI | Final Round AI |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0, no card | $0, no live sessions |
| Monthly | PRO $89 | $150 |
| Every 3 months | Not listed | $250 per quarter ($83.33 a month, our arithmetic) |
| Yearly | PRO $24 a month billed annually ($288 a year, our arithmetic; labelled “Save 73%“) | Yearly Plan $300 once ($25 a month average); Premium MAX $500 once |
| Pay per interview | None shown | None in the plan list |
What the plans include: Sensei PRO lists unlimited Copilot sessions, the AI Resume Builder, AI Story Editor, a customization suite, industry knowledge add-ons, Coding Copilot and the AI Playground. Every Final Round AI paid plan lists unlimited Interview Copilot, Stealth Mode, an advanced AI interview report, all interview types, a question bank of 10,000+ questions and standard AI models; the Yearly Plan adds priority support and Premium MAX adds premium AI models and early access.
In real money (our arithmetic): one month costs $89 on Sensei PRO against $150 on Final Round AI, a gap of $61. On yearly billing the gap is $288 against $300, only $12 over the year. The yearly saving on Sensei is large against its own monthly price ($89 x 12 = $1,068, so the yearly plan is about 73% lower), but against Final Round AI’s yearly plan it is small.
Refunds: Sensei’s homepage FAQ says it does not offer refunds, while its refund page allows monthly refunds only in special circumstances through a request form and a possible partial refund on annual plans if you cancel within 3 days after renewal (one month is charged). The vendor has the final say. Final Round AI’s policy (updated July 16, 2026) gives 72 hours, once per customer, and blocks a refund after two or more sessions over 30 minutes; Stripe fees are deducted, and monthly plans are final after 72 hours. Its plan page FAQ still says monthly plans are non-refundable. With either vendor, test on the free tier before you pay, and with Sensei read both pages first.
Where Sensei AI Is the Better Choice
- Lower price at every length. $89 against $150 month to month, and $24 a month against $25 a month on the yearly plans shown. If you want one subscription for a long search, the yearly price is the lowest unlimited plan in this pair.
- A free tier you can reuse. Its FAQ says the free plan allows an unlimited number of sessions, each ending at 15 minutes, with no card. That is a real test of transcription and answer quality on your own accent and platform. Final Round AI has no free live session.
- Coding Copilot is on PRO. A Chrome extension captures the coding page and sends it to the main app, and the Chrome Web Store listing names LeetCode, HackerRank and CodeSignal (its tutorial names HackerRank and CoderPad). Final Round AI also supports coding platforms, so this is a price point rather than a unique feature.
- Resume Builder on the free plan. It lists an AI Resume Builder and Story Editor even on Free, and its own post says it is built mainly for live assistance.
Where Final Round AI Is the Better Choice
- Practice is part of the product. It lists 8 practice scenarios with an AI interviewer and an automatic debrief after each session. Sensei’s own August 2026 post lists itself as “No traditional mock format” and tells readers to use a mock-interview tool.
- Languages and platforms. 143 locales across 76 languages against Sensei’s “30+”, and a longer list of named platforms, including HireVue, CoderPad, Webex, Amazon Chime, WhatsApp and Discord. Phone and in-person interviews work through the computer microphone with the phone on speaker.
- A desktop app. Final Round AI runs beside the meeting as an installed app for macOS and Windows, with no bot in the call. Sensei’s setup tutorials describe a browser workflow in which you share a browser tab with audio, and a Chrome extension listener (a beta for paying members, per a December 2024 post).
- A clearer refund rule. Both are narrow, but Final Round AI’s policy is one 72-hour window with stated conditions, while Sensei’s two pages contradict each other. No tool can promise how an employer will react to AI help, so check the employer’s rules.
A Third Option: OphyAI
We make OphyAI, so weigh this section with that in mind. OphyAI’s Interview Copilot shows a live transcript and streamed answer suggestions on Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet in 35 languages. It runs on the web with nothing to install or in the Mac and Windows desktop apps, and the iPhone and Android apps cover practice and job-search tools. The same account includes Interview Practice (voice or text mock interviews with follow-up questions and per-answer feedback), a Resume Builder, Application Assistant and a free Application Tracker.
- Free: a first Standard Interview Copilot session up to 15 minutes for eligible new users, no card.
- Paid: Pro $29 a month (300 credits, about 20 Standard Copilot sessions). Premium $59 a month (500 credits) adds Coding Interview. Annual billing is 20% off: Pro $278 a year, Premium $566 a year.
- One interview: a $9.99 Interview Pass covers one Standard Copilot session up to 2 hours ($19.99 for 3), where offered.
- Old numbers: OphyAI has no $9 plan. The Basic plan was retired in July 2026, and some third-party articles still show the old $9, $19 and $39 prices.
Where it falls short: Sensei’s yearly PRO ($288) is not unlimited on OphyAI Pro ($278 a year is credit-based), Sensei’s free tier is reusable while OphyAI’s free session is a first-session offer, Final Round AI lists more languages and platforms, and OphyAI’s Resume Builder costs credits where Sensei’s is on its free plan. How to Decide
- Count your interviews and months. One or two interviews total point to a single-interview pass or a free tier. A long search with many live rounds favors an unlimited yearly plan, where Sensei ($288) and Final Round AI ($300) are close.
- Decide whether you need practice. If you want mock interviews and a debrief in the same tool, Final Round AI includes them on paid plans. If you only want live answers, Sensei’s price is lower.
- Test your language and platform. Use Sensei’s free sessions, and for Final Round AI read the platform list for your interview tool. OphyAI’s free 15-minute session takes no card either.
- Read the refund rules before paying. Sensei’s two pages disagree; Final Round AI gives 72 hours once with a usage condition.
- Check the employer’s rules. Some employers ban outside tools in live interviews. Ask your recruiter, see our tracker of companies that allow AI in interviews, and compare more tools in the alternatives hub, our Sensei AI review and our pricing comparison.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which is better, Sensei AI or Final Round AI?
It depends on what you need. Sensei AI had the lower price on September 29, 2026 ($89 against $150 a month) and a reusable free tier. Final Round AI has built-in mock interviews, a debrief, more languages and more named platforms. Neither is clearly better for every candidate, so test the free tier and read the refund rules first.
Is Sensei AI cheaper than Final Round AI?
Yes at every billing length we checked. Sensei PRO was $89 monthly or $24 a month billed yearly ($288 a year, our arithmetic). Final Round AI was $150 monthly, $250 a quarter and $300 for a year. The yearly gap is only $12, so the real saving is on month-to-month use.
Do Sensei AI and Final Round AI have free plans?
Sensei AI does: $0 with 15-minute Copilot sessions, an AI Resume Builder and an AI Story Editor, no card (its refund page says 10-minute sessions, so its pages disagree). Final Round AI’s free plan covers goals, job description parsing and a prep checklist, but it says there is no free trial for live sessions.
Can I get a refund from Sensei AI or Final Round AI?
Narrowly, and with different rules. Sensei’s homepage says no refunds, while its refund page allows special-circumstance monthly refunds and a possible partial annual refund within 3 days of renewal. Final Round AI allows 72 hours once per customer, but two or more sessions over 30 minutes block it. Read both pages before paying.
Which has more languages?
Final Round AI lists 143 locales across 76 languages. Sensei AI publishes only “30+” and no full list. Neither publishes accuracy by language, so run a free session in your own language and accent, on the platform your interviewer uses, before you commit to a yearly plan.
Do both work on Zoom, Teams and Google Meet?
Yes, both name Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams, and both name Webex and Amazon Chime. Final Round AI also names coding and assessment platforms such as CoderPad, HackerRank, CodeSignal and HireVue. Neither describes an official integration with each app, so run a test call on your own platform.
