What Cluely Is

Cluely is an AI meeting assistant and notetaker: a desktop app on macOS and Windows 11 (Windows 10 is not supported) plus an iPhone app. It listens to your calls, writes notes and gives live help when you press Cmd/Ctrl + Enter. There is no direct monthly-to-annual upgrade: you cancel and wait for the period to end. Plans renew automatically at the then-current price.

The October 22, 2025 Plan Split

Cluely’s help center says that as of October 22, 2025, the screen-share hiding setting moved into a separate plan. Pro users who subscribed before that date keep it as Legacy Pro. Everyone who signs up now gets the feature only on “Pro + Undetectability”.

Screen-Share Limits Cluely Itself States

The setting is off by default: “By default Cluely is visible to screen share.” Even with it on, Cluely’s help center (December 22, 2025) lists exceptions: it is not hidden on a Microsoft Teams entire-screen share, Zoom needs version 6.16 or older or a capture setting, and it is not compatible with FaceTime.

Mobile Plan Prices Differ by Page

The pricing page lists $8 a week or $144 a year; the App Store lists $7.99 weekly and $139.99 annual. The iPhone app needs iOS 17.0 or later, there is no Android app, and the help center (February 6, 2026) says it “DOES NOT assist with phone calls or mobile video conferencing calls yet.”

Does Cluely Have a Free Trial?

No paid-plan trial is listed. Starter is free, but its daily limits are not published, and whether it needs a card is not published on its site (checked September 29, 2026).

Cluely Refund Policy

Cluely publishes two refund texts, and they differ:

• Terms site (April 20, 2025): a 24-hour refund “ONLY in the condition that you are able to show video evidence that it is not working on your computer.” No refunds for Windows 10.
• Help center (March 5, 2026): a 24-hour refund for “system-level restrictions” that stop Cluely working on your computer. Not refundable: forgetting to cancel, plan changes, and “Interview software detection/cheating use cases,” Refunds take 5 to 10 business days.
• No pro-rata refunds under the cancellation policy.

The cancellation policy says access runs to the end of the period; the help center cancel article (December 9, 2025) says canceling ends Pro access immediately.

On screen sharing, OphyAI’s desktop app works differently: the live answer window is excluded from screen sharing and screen recording by the operating system, so Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams do not show it, even on a full-screen share. That does not hide it from a camera pointed at the screen, a person in the room, or proctoring software that inspects running apps. Check your employer’s rules first: companies that allow AI in interviews.
