Cluely is a free download for Mac and Windows 11 (Windows 10 is not supported), and an iPhone app, but the plan that hides it from screen sharing is the separate Pro + Undetectability tier at $149.99 a month. If you want a desktop app built for job interviews, the OphyAI desktop app runs on Mac (Apple Silicon and Intel) and Windows 10 (version 2004 or later) and Windows 11, with live answers during Zoom, Teams and Meet calls.

What Installing Cluely Involves

• Platforms. Cluely’s download page says “Available for macOS and Windows.” It is a native desktop app, not a browser extension, so there is nothing to find in the Chrome Web Store.
• Windows 11 is required. The help center system-requirements article states Windows 10 is not supported, and the terms-site refund policy (April 20, 2025) says there are no refunds for Windows 10. If you are on Windows 10, the download is not for you.
• The Mac minimum depends on which page you read. Cluely’s download page says macOS 10.15 (Catalina) or later; its help center says macOS Ventura (13) and up. Treat Ventura as the safer floor.
• Unsupported setups. The help center says Cluely does not support laptops with external webcams, custom gaming graphics cards or international VPNs.
• iPhone. The App Store listing requires iOS 17.0 or later, while the help center says iOS 14+. Cluely’s help center says its iPhone app does not yet assist on phone calls or mobile video calls.
• Screen sharing is visible by default. Cluely’s help center says “By default Cluely is visible to screen share.” Hiding it is a setting, and only the Pro + Undetectability plan (and Legacy Pro plans) support it. Its own limits list says Cluely is not hidden in a Microsoft Teams entire-screen share, Zoom needs version 6.16 or older or a capture setting, and it is not compatible with FaceTime.
• Refunds are narrow. The help center (March 5, 2026) offers a 24-hour refund for system-level restrictions where Cluely does not work on your computer, and excludes forgetting to cancel, plan changes and interview-software detection use cases. The older terms-site policy (April 20, 2025) says 24 hours only with video evidence that it is not working on your computer. Cluely says it does not offer pro-rata refunds.

Where Cluely Is a Better Fit

• Price. Pro is $19.99 a month, or $11.99 a month billed annually, with unlimited AI responses and meeting notes. OphyAI Pro is $29 a month with 300 credits.
• Wider meeting scope. Cluely markets itself for sales calls, lectures, client meetings and interviews. If most of your calls are not interviews, it covers more of them.
• A free desktop tier. The Starter plan is free with limited AI responses, so you can try the install without paying (daily limits are not published).
• A larger iPhone footprint for meetings. Its iPhone app records voice memos and in-person conversations. Its App Store rating is 4.7 from 552 ratings; Trustpilot shows 1.7 from 22 reviews on an unclaimed profile that has not invited reviews (both September 29, 2026).
• No meeting bot. Cluely says it never joins your meetings.

Where OphyAI Is a Better Fit

• Built for interviews, not meetings. • Windows 10 works. The OphyAI desktop app supports Windows 10 (version 2004 or later) as well as 11, and Mac on Apple Silicon and Intel. Download it from the download page.
• Screen-share exclusion without a separate tier. The desktop answer window is excluded from screen sharing and screen recording by the operating system, so Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams do not show it, even on a full-screen share. The limits: this does not hide it from a camera pointed at the screen, a person in the room, or proctoring software that inspects running apps. Check the employer’s rules first; see which companies allow AI in interviews.
• Practice and job-search tools. Interview Practice, Resume Builder, Application Assistant, Job Search and the Application Tracker sit in the same account.
• Pay-once option. Where offered, a $9.99 Interview Pass covers one Standard Copilot session up to 2 hours. Cluely lists no single-session purchase.
• Languages. 35 against Cluely’s 6 audio-input languages in its help center (homepage: 12+).
• A trade-off to know. The Windows installer is unsigned, so expect the “Windows protected your PC” prompt (More info, then Run anyway). The iPhone and Android apps are for practice, resumes, cover letters, job search and tracking, not live copilots.

How to Decide

1. Check your OS. Windows 10 rules Cluely out. On Mac, confirm you are on Ventura or later.
2. Decide whether you need screen-share hiding. At Cluely it costs the $149.99 tier and has the Teams and Zoom limits above. At OphyAI the desktop window is excluded by the OS, with the camera, in-room and proctoring limits.
3. Check the rules. Whatever you use, ask the recruiter whether AI help is allowed.
4. Pick by job. Many meeting types, lowest price: Cluely. Interviews plus practice and applications: OphyAI.
